Kathryn S. MacAskie

President and CEO

Kathy is the President & CEO for Zarvona Energy LLC, President of the General Partner and a Member of the Investment Committee of the General Partner. Ms. MacAskie received her BS in Civil Engineering from Rice University. She has been involved in the evaluation, acquisition, management, development, and divestiture of oil and gas assets for over 35 years. From 1995 to 1999, she served as Senior Vice-President of EnerVest Management Company, a private oil and gas exploration and production company based in Houston, Texas. Ms. MacAskie served as Vice-President and Houston Office Manager for Cawley, Gillespie & Associates, providing property evaluation services from 1999 to 2001. She was a founding member of FlairTex Resources LLC, acquiring assets for the entity with partial backing provided by Sandefer Capital Partners from 2001 to 2006. From 2006 to May 2010, Ms. MacAskie served as Senior Vice-President of Acquisitions of EV Energy Partners, L.P., an upstream Master Limited Partnership (Nasdaq: EVEP), focused on acquiring and onshore oil and gas properties. Under her leadership, EV Energy Partners acquired over $900 million of oil and gas assets. She founded Zarvona Energy LLC in 2010 and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.

Matthew Jurgens

COO

Matt is the Chief Operations Officer for Zarvona Energy LLC and a Member of the Investment Committee for the General Partner. Mr. Jurgens received his BS in Geological Engineering from the University of North Dakota, and his MS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to joining Zarvona, Mr. Jurgens was employed by Royal Dutch Shell from 2007 to 2012. At Shell, he worked primarily within the company’s onshore drilling organization in the United States and Canada, developing assets such as the Vicksburg, Montney Shale, Eagle Ford, Haynesville, and Marcellus. He assisted in transitioning the drilling operations of the company’s newly acquired Montney Shale properties in 2009. In 2010, he was responsible for drilling Shell’s original exploration wells in the Eagle Ford shale, and continued to support the asset into the development drilling phase. Since Joining Zarvona in 2012 with the acquisition of the company’s first operated asset, Matt has successfully built an operating organization from a single employee to one of the top 100 largest private oil and gas operators in the country. He is currently responsible for leading the firm’s Operations, Environmental, and Regulatory departments.

Robert M. MacAskie

CFO and Vice President of Acquisitions

Rob is the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Acquisitions at Zarvona Energy LLC, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of the General Partner, and a Member of the Investment Committee of the General Partner. Mr. MacAskie received a BS in Engineering from Princeton University, a MS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and a MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Zarvona, Rob was employed by ExxonMobil from 2007 to 2012 where he held a variety of positions in development planning and reservoir engineering, focusing on economic analysis, field surveillance, project planning, and opportunity generation. Mr. MacAskie held leadership positions in both ExxonMobil Development & Production companies while on assignments in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Since joining Zarvona in 2012, Rob has held the positions of Engineering Manager and Chief Compliance Officer in addition to his current role. During that time, he has overseen more than $300 million in acquisitions and divestitures across Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana, and is currently responsible for leading the firm’s Acquisitions, Finance, and Compliance departments.
